I came across real estate after continuously seeing a real estate business in my local Houston neighborhood purchasing old, dingy homes and flipping them into something beautiful. 

The stove and heating system seems a bit old in two of the units, and no driveway so I am a bit concern if any of these tenants do move out in the future.

Just beginning to learn this FI world.

Such was the case in 2008 when the financial world around us collapsed. 

So the only question is, does the Market Rent for that location and Type of Unit cover the HOA, plus Debt Service, plus whatever other Expenses need to be paid..Because if it doesn't, the Landlord is in for a world of hurt!.

I have a B.S. and an MBA, with the latter being from one of the top 3 business schools in the world.

Just to throw a number out, if they should be expected to last for 30 years and the countertop was already 15 years old, then you would potentially be responsible for half of the cost of a new one.
