@Cynthia Pochatek did they give a reason they would not renew...We use American Modern for non-conforming or high risk properties ...one-off stuff...I think the bottom line is that you can get insurance from any carrier you want for the right price

Full reno, all new modern furnishings, added additional 400 sq ft heated space through single car garage conversion to rec space complete with glass garage door with views of mtns, large flat screen tv, bar area , foosball & darts What was the outcome?

Yes, wood siding is more subject to moisture damage and rot, but you can pretty easily cut out a section yourself and (hopefully) replace it with an exact match.
