I've engaged some good conversations that way but nothing yet.

this summer, i had an engaged young couple come to me. their income wasn't the most but i put on my application how much in checking & savings. $4k & $12k & they had $3k in their previous security deposit. i was shocked!

Go to REIA meetings regularly, keep engaging with BP forums, tell everyone you know that you're looking to meet real estate professionals, and soon enough you'll be building a network of mentors and colleagues.Good luck out there!

End of day I caulked it up to lesson learned, and engaged in KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). 

You would need to be actively engaged in that business and draw a reasonable salary in order to participate in the C-Corp retirement plan.
