Removing wallpaper is a pain in the butt, so if you have a decent amount of it, that's probably equivalent to a $1500-2000 bid if it were just basic prep/paint.

I put four 16"x16" concrete blocks in the four corners of the walkway to use it as a planter...not sure, may be something round like a small whisky barrels would look better.Anyways here is the final result after sodding, mulching, cleaning, planting.My neighbors are very happy with the changes.

Otherwise, money in escrow won't be available for repairs.I suggest you get prequalified for you loan and see what your lender says about putting cash in escrow as earnest money or a down (which is usually pain in settlement).
