@Samantha Gould, I don't know how you would get financed for a property...unless family/friends believe in you and will give you the money because they like you.

For millennials all they really need is a overstuffed couch and a web connection for their adult toys.I believe they make their income as professional bloggers.

I believe that was a once in a lifetime event.

So don't believe in estimates, find the actuals to make your numbers. 

@Josh Koukal - I believe @Derek Dombeck hit the nail on the head, but either you're in a hot market or you're not looking hard enough in the right places.

@Russ Draper, I really don't believe that things are even remotely close to being as bad as they were in 2008.

The primary advantage for most is the psychological security that comes with believing it will better protect your assets.

Also, I'm pretty sure that you should get some house hunting days when you get to your duty station (I believe 7 or 10), which is pretty much free leave that allows you to look for a place.

Rewey I actually remember when I initially began looking into note investing some years back (probably about 10, roughly) - you and another gentleman I believe had a training course out, or book(s) or something.

There is no fire escape from the third floor which to this point I believe has been grandfathered in but if a state inspector is welcomed in the house he will most likely require one be put in.
