Any advice on if this is a smart move would be appreciated.

Besides the population, Columbus has OSU graduating 6000+ students a year, we just received a huge grant to be one of the first "smart cities" in the country, areas around downtown like Old Town East and Merion Village just to name a few have made huge advances in revitalization just in the past 2 years.  

Would it be smart to do a VA cash out refinance to a 30yr 3.8 rate and pay around 1,800 a month?

I felt like paying off my home early was smart because I’d always be safe.

Of course it's smart to keep your radar up but it looks more like they're doing some type of lease option/rent to own deal.

That being said, buying smart, having reserves, and not over leveraging can definitely mitigate this.

I dont know any successful business people that dont work hard and work SMART.

Most people on this site and everywhere feel they need to stay small or for some reason aren't good enough, smart enough, rich enough to go big.

We plan on buying at our next location but we want to make a smart buy our first go round.
