Hastings and Kearney in particular have decent sized college student bases which can give you a good rental pool if you are willing to rent to that group.

They will have to continue to pay any liens on the property (if previous owner is not) or risk getting foreclosed on2.

Anyway, I moved down here to TN in my camper two years ago and the camper is now in storage since I bought the house. 

The two I acquired were previously sold for $9,500 in 2006 and for $17,500 in 2005.

Hello everyone,I am currently going to college for Business Management with a concentration in accounting and I stumbled on the BiggerPockets podcast as I have always been interested in real estate.

Moved to the Midwest (Columbus, OH) to get some experience in Human Resources under my belt right out of college and just moved back to the Reno area after almost 3 years out in Ohio.

I closed on a condo in a college town 3 weeks ago and used a different lender there who asked me the same thing.  

I finished my bachelor’s degree in business from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, Illinois and took my first job out of college with Hunt Construction Group as a field engineer on the $250 million Kansas City Royals baseball stadium project.

A buddy of mine in college became a broker and we recently reconnected.I asked him about real estate investing and told him I am looking strictly for bargains, etc.His advice was "always buy your own place first before you start investing in rental property.
