Hello all,I am currently looking to switch jobs and have been interviewing for BA type roles in corporate America.

I would eventually would like real estate investing to be my full time but I recognize that will be several years down the road. 

@Marzella ZielkeThat sounds like a great problem to have, congratulations on recognizing an opportunity.You will likely get alot of good advice on the site from folks who are more experienced.

Allowing more time for people to interview, view the property, and complete the application will provide a fairer playing field.

I would look in the MLS for similar rentals and interview 3 of those agents. 

If you're not wanting to play manager day in and day out, start interviewing management companies NOW, as you'll want them to take over on day one - the two biggest management "chains" are Real Property Management, and All County, but I don't know if either one has an office in D.C.Good luck! 

Nobody knows for sure though.There are a couple of books on timing the real estate market that lay out the fundamentals of the market cycle and how to recognize where we are at. 

If the realtor knows that there is a violation in a property, her advice should be to have it cured before closing or else it passes to you.When you interview a broker, there are certain questions you ned to ask.
