If those options are not available to you, I'd make sure I set myself up where I wanted to be for a few years, then ask for a short sale as it will harm your credit.

This common scheme encourages the original Seller to sell to the second buyer by virtue of creating a false sense of what the current market will bear.It isn't so much a matter of whether the other potential buyers will be harmed, but the fact that both Bidders have engaged in deceptive practices towards the Seller.
