Again, not saying this is the reason you do it, but thisms a common theme among many of the investors I know who prefer T&M contracts.Btw, If an emergency like you mentioned happened on one of my fixed priced jobs, my contractors would take care of the emergency first (even if it meant calling one of my contractors on their crew) and get the issue fixed.
