You might call the local housing authority to see if you can get an inspection checklist or if there is one posted. 

If you can, attend some local REI meetings.

You're likely to get the best terms at a local or regional bank that keeps their paper and services their debt themselves.  

Call your local banks.

They’re local investors, run a REI meetup, and all around good guys!

Make sure to connect with local lenders and brokers as it's beneficial for achieving your real estate goals.

I travel to New York and Los Angeles for capital raising but happy to look at local partnerships.

Columbus has become a major tech hub in the midwest with large companies like Intel investing $20 billion, Amazon investing $3.5 billion, Google building 2 new data centers: one in downtown Columbus and the other in right outside of U.S. 33 in Lancaster.
