We are interested in the BRRR strategy but housing in our market is quite expensive and In short supply so we’re considering sellIng our Rental and doing a 1031 Exchange to invest in a less expensive market like Indianapolis.

@James Miller How does vacancy contribute to a tax  loss (unless we are talking about actual vacancies and not money put aside)I was asking about money being put aside for vacancy, Capex and such, which as far as I know would be taxable.

Hi everyone, I'm new here, I'm a co-founder in an early stage startup and we are a current participant in the Ycombinator Startup School Program.  

We are a current participant in the Ycombinator Startup School Program (which we are pretty excited to be able to be a participant of), we are right in the halfway point of the program and will be applying to their core incubator program. 

For example, the deal we are working on right now we are replacing nearly everything (flooring, Air Conditioner, Electrical, Plumbing, windows, drywall, kitchen cabinets, full bathroom & the room has 20 years left). 

But we are glad that we aren't stuck with the house.
