I'm in the market to purchase a short-term rental in Saint George Utah but the market there (perhaps like many places) feels very overpriced.

If you do go the checkbook control route, make sure you get all the necessary information and have a good understanding of the responsibilities that come along with it, so as not to cause problems in the long run. 

Hamp,I appreciate the advice.Due to moving back to Colorado, I would probably shoot for long term rentals, so possibly medical school or people stationed at FSH.

We are thinking that a Hipcamp would do very well because there aren't any good ones locally and we've already had success with short term rentals.The land is $125,000 and we don't have the financial ability to purchase it or do a down payment right now.

Typically, though, the terms are spelled out pretty well...at least I know they are here in our Florida contract.
