Of course depending on your experience, qualifications, and the deal itself.But if there is a house on the market for $99k in a neighborhood full of $200k-$400k homes, there has to be something horribly wrong with that home.Is it backing up to a train track or an old steel mill? 

Darren, unless I'm missing something, I'm going to offer the opinion that this all sounds like a horrible idea. 

I just slept better knowing that if things went horribly wrong I wouldn't lose MY house - I'd lose the rental house.

And, in fact, after closer analysis, many of the higher end areas look like horrible investments.

I looked into Cali Bamboo but read some pretty horrible reviews so I'm going to keep looking.Thanks in advance!

Not a day goes buy in the national news without some horrible story out of Chicago.

I concur that the Fulton county is horrible for evictions.

The one the old man lived in was built in 1880, has about 1900 sq/ft, original hard wood floors, some antique furniture, approx. 7000 sq/ft lot, but the home is in horrible disrepair.
