Definitely get your personal financial situation stable so you have a good foundation to leverage off of for years to come.

Since this would be a specialized situation, I would use the Contact on the VA website to get the best answer, there are a lot of lenders that do VA loans but they don't specialize in them so they may not know about any fine print, or alternate paperwork not commonly used.

(recommend at least three)... as time goes on you'll pick up on the trends that work for your situation.

It's a slumlord type situation - but a lovable slumlord that gets along with the tenants.
