I would have a plan of action before contacting the agent meaning advising the agent you are interested in the property, how the agent will benefit from you wholesaling the property, and finally how all parties can benefit from the transaction because the seller will have to be ok with this too.

Could you ask/make him pay for the repair absolutely, is that the best course of action...maybe not.Usually you are using a handyman because he charges less for the type of repairs he is doing than if your hired skilled tradesman for that specific job.

If you cut down all the trees (or clear the wrong section) without actually knowing what your buyer would have preferred, you could even hurt the property's value (because the buyer who would have paid the most wanted it to be completely wooded - and now doesn't meet their needs anymore).I wouldn't suggest taking any kind of permanent action like this until you know what your buyer wants.
