According to what I have found online that part is true.  

For the most part (particularly Fort Lauderdale and Miami) requires permits and inspections of your str. if you operate it without having the permit you can get heavy fines and get shut off.

I have seen some operators for are doing B's write stuff online that they shouldn't be. 

(For properties of this age, months requiring some kind of repair seemed as common as months where nothing needed to be done).b.

Haven’t tried online meetups, but I feel they would not be the same.

What documents do they require, what credit scores do they allow, how do they verify previous rental history, etc.?

My personal policy is with State Farm and so is my landlord policy held under my LLC...and the 2 cannot be accessed online except if my insurance agent connects them...which she has repeatedly said is not possible despite State Farm tech support saying that's the only way. 

Both of this will likely require real time conversations which will be difficult from India3) Maintenance when tenants are staying - I feel less worried about this as I can have the tenant coordinate with my chosen vendor (that I already have or can potentially find from India by talking to them on phone at night time in India / morning in the US).

  #4 requires literally a lifetime of practice and intense preparation. 

Now they will require your SSN as the "signer" on the bank account, which would be required by every signer on the account, but the account should be listed under the LLC's EIN, not your SSN.
