Their rental application, any file they were keeping, how the rent is paid.

I saw the dollar bills that tenants had in security deposit + first month's rents rather than their entire application.

Much more interesting to discuss whether or not to install a $25 ceiling fan or should one place an applicant or not.

(Of course, right now we have a shortage of available inventory and a bunch of anxiously waiting applicants.

Application fees help weed some of this out, but not all of it.
