And I am calling the repair people anyway because going through two levels of communication to find out what the issue was you lose alot in the chain of communication.  

The homes in this specific area consist of older homes which on a surface level, seem good for a BRRRR strategy. 

@Rodney Love I’ve been able to replace my income in 4 years comparably to the level you are looking for.

STRs in most areas make up less than 5% of the housing but they consider it low hanging fruit.With that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised that the new city council would start to look at restricting STRs.

I'm financially stable with good income, low debt, and good credit score. 

The banks don't want to give you a low interest rate that might be higher if you closed with an LLC. 

Not sure if things have changed but saw the prices of multifamily to be very low...drastically lower than NYC for sure.

And current prices are way above that level.

In my opinion, the problem here is that the original quote was just unrealistically low.
