If you don't have money I think there are better ways to get your foot in the door for home ownership.In your shoes I would seek out motivated sellers that might allow you to gain some equity that you can then snowball into full ownership.

I have listened to just about every pod cast and read as many books that the guests have recommended to get a good foundation in the field.

I started reading  articles and listening to podcasts from bigger pockets, and I become a member.

But you shouldn't depend on that.On a biggerpockets podcast I listened to, a guy said he only had $100/month to work with at first.

Read books on investing in real estate, listen to the podcasts, attend webinars and stay active on the forums while connecting with other investors in your area and pick a niche.

I did this real estate thing backwards in that I started feverishly reading real estate books and listening (nonstop!)
