First, I would expect BP lives not on a single server, but that's not really germane to the topic.With a well crafted, multi-origin, DDOS effort it becomes very difficult to separate legitimate connections for new sessions (i.e. you reading the forums) from the fabricated request whose purpose is to consume service resources.
