I called the water department, they said they would turn on the water for $4,200 so I drove from Lansing to my office in Ypsilanti and picked up a check, drove to the water department paid the $4,200, and then drove to the bank and they signed over the deed.

My understanding from talking to lawyer, contractors and city staffs over the years is that water department has the oldest record on DU, and it's typically not public info readily avail.

I signed a lease July 21 for September move-in date and wrote a check for the security deposit I became unemployed August 3 the check for the security deposit bounced I told the apartment management I was not going to be taking the apartment August 21 for September move-in date they requested me to write a letter stating I will not be moving into the apartment to break the lease I did that and I have a section 8 voucher and they made a contract with the housing department they made the contract with the housing department before they had me sign the lease I just got a email from the apartment management that I was going to move into looking for September and October‘s rent but they never got a security deposit from me my housing department for my section 8 canceled on them and I never got the keys I never inspected the apartment but they’re still holding me accountable for those two months September and October now what are my rights
