@Reitta Seidel, yes.Maybe sharing some of your thoughts that made you post this question will yield more valuable feedback.In my market, single family homes sell all year round.  

I'd say first, figure out what kind of investing you're into and make sure that the market you choose supports it.

When was your last flip and what is the market like recently? 

There is definitely more options for investing opportunities on the open market than on the land bank. 

We're reaching out to other professionals who have done some investing in Alabama or who are very familiar with the market, (i.e. which are the more favorable counties in which to invest?) 

You'll also hear people talk about cost segregation & depreciation, which are great, but not everyone is in a position where they can maximize the benefits of depreciation.Also bear in mind that it doesn't need to be either-or.

Anyone have any thoughts on Alabama as a potential market?
