Give me your thoughts on this as a general strategy.

I could not imagine doing this for 40 seperate units.It seems this would be a bookkeeping nightmare for me.Is anyone using this type of asset protection strategy for 5+ properties?

I'm using the "second home" strategy, My lender approved, but... they want me to stick to 14-day rule of personal use. 

I will take a look at the areas you suggested if I decided to go forward with this strategy.  

@Todd Hoteswelcome.start with a house hack.there is no better beginning strategy.

more so looking for cashflow than appreciation but it would be nice to have both. my strategy is to buy somewhat turnkey homes then renting out to section 8. thanks in advance! 

Au Contraire, I am trying to tell you that you can do this without paying ANYONE, me included.All the posts I have been making over the years have not changed voice or strategy.

I told her to incorporate that into the loan repaid amount, and she immediately did and asked for my ID and bank statementsNow most lenders do 80% financing with a 20% down payment, which at that point, I understand why there's an upfront cost.But if this is a 100% financing agreement, why are they asking me for anything upfront?
