Has anyone added devices to their Exterior Spigots that prevent usage?

All contracts, options, or other devices not based upon a substantial consideration, or that are otherwise employed to permit an unlicensed person to sell, lease, or let real estate, the beneficial title to which has not, in good faith, passed to such party for a substantial consideration, are hereby declared void and ineffective in all cases, suits, or proceedings had or taken under this chapter; however, this section shall not apply to irrevocable gifts, to unconditional contracts to purchase, or to options based upon a substantial consideration actually paid and not subject to any agreements to return or right of return reserved.There is a case going on at this time filed in Collier County.

My name is Mac Douglas and I just recently purchased my first two-unit property in Chicago.  

Most banks and companies like Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae use preservation companies to "winterize" their properties.

I'm also looking at doing the same and a couple lenders that I talked to brought up the HomePossible program from Freddie Mac.

I don't have an input on Mac, but any "training" that is reasonable priced is of some value.

When he said "hold their own paper" - he's referring to loans that aren't sold/guaranteed to/by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

For those that don't know, a new company called square up allows you to take credit card payments using your cell phone and a card reading device that plugs into the headphone jack.

Freddie Mac is also coming out with their conventional renovation loan program soon too.  

There is a program that Freddie Mac has called Home Possible which would work in this scenario but the only problem now is the lending limit for the loan.
