I've been listening to many podcasts (The Best Real Estate Investing Advice Ever Show hosted by Joe Fairless being my favorite), I've been reading some great books (I LOVE Rich Dad Poor Dad) and have just been trying to educate myself as much as possible on real estate investing.

Unfortunately there is not a lot of critical thinking among the novices here and everybody is looking for a quick fix to riches so ALL they want to see is a number that someone tells them is the "magic" number.

I have a pretty tight budget.I am newbie when it comes to this subject but I have been researching and also downloaded several books that I think will help (Rich Dad Poor Dad, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, E-Myth Revisited, among others).
