Has anyone rented their roof for additional monthly income as it relates to solar energy?

In addition to what is said above, I would call the agent that has it listed. tell them they cant sell it, you have redeemed it.

That might cost you 10k in additional costs up front, but it would probalby let you get a much better permanent loan once all fixed up, and probably save you several times that over the life of your permanent loan. 

In addition to the actual returns, investors will want to know about your track record, the market, the property, the business plan and the execution team.

City municipalities,  or code violations may also need to be rectified so work those costs into the additional rehab or at least pre-hab.

Yes there are additional fees, and yes you can get bids on some of those, but honestly, we personally have found that finding a team around us more than pays for itself.

In addition, I'd have to pay taxes at my ordinary rate on the interest I receive from the note.

It seems to me that because of the increase in the standard deduction with the tax reform, that I don't really have a big enough mortgage to get any additional tax benefits.
