So I suppose then the best way to do this is to just keep the asset in a Solo 401k and get my portfolio lender to agree to a non-recourse loan, keeping the asset and profits in the retirement account without incurring additional tax burden.

Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the country and I don't see anywhere else where you can great cash flow and the opportunity for growth like here. 

Once in  a while i catch an HGTV episode that i think is focused on buying homes/homesteads out there - looks cool...although, ive never lived the country life...so, i'd probably starve or something!
