The PV company advocates for wiring all the PV panels in series and then letting any excess electricity from the panels balance equally through all three meters - that's technically the most cost effective for the whole property, but would mean I need to install a bunch of extra hardware to measure actual electricity usage.

Hey @Wilson Lee,When you start dealing with both buy-and-holds as well as flips, I tend to work with the Series LLC.

The LLC, when properly formed, will compartmentalize the risk between Sibling #1 and you.Option 2: Series LLC (preferred) This situation would depend on your own portfolio, but you can also form a Series LLC.

Each of these entities accomplishes completely different goals.While I do utilize the C-Corp for its tax implications, I generally use the Series LLC for most of my investments.
