For awhile I had my eye on a co-op near the beach, but I didn't have the cash, and I was under this illusion that I couldn't get a loan for it.

I have my eye on a cute little two bedroom to rehab for my mother in law.

The waterfront area downtown is beautiful for as far as the eye can see in both directions.As remote work takes hold and knowledge workers look to escape Seattle, I can definitely see it becoming an Austin-esque city in the PNW.

I just remember getting my tax bills on a few of the flip properties i funded in Dallas a few years back and man those things are eye watering. :)

It took awhile to catch on, and it was the likes of airbnb and VRBO that took this concept to a new level with global exposure. 

Hi All,Posted the below on in a couple other forums in hopes to get more eyes but this seems like the best one for people just like myself.I have just started a career transition and excited to be getting into the real estate industry.

And I know that the tourism infrastructure (restaurants , activities) has some catching up to do aside from the new casino that is opening up.

What is the best way to do this in your eyes?

To add to what @Jonathan Greene wrote:1) Understanding the local market, so you know what Neighborhood Class your building is located in, what Class your Building is (condition & amenities), and what corresponding class of tenants will be attracted.2) Using all this data to properly set your expectations and a realistic ROI.3) How to better screen prospective tenants, including catching fraud, so your property performs better.

There’s a vacant land/home that I am currently eyeing.
