I guess for me it depends if I get involved with another Med Device company or not.

You don't know what other liabilities the LLC might have incurred hence don't want to get stuck with an undisclosed debt in addition to the property that you thought is just what you were getting.It sounds like the issue is something that could be addressed contractually or through some other device where you could explicitly and specifically state clearly what interest is being conveyed along with the LLC, and could name the specific property (or properties) in question.

Fundamentally I think that most people misuse metrics because they annualize them when the assumptions about how the money will work are dissimilar from project to project.

They are claiming it was an acceident, that the "device" that was plugged in overheated and caused the fire.

Cody...I'm going to get some flack for this, I'm sure, but I'll say it anyway...1) Read the book 'Rich Dad Poor Dad'...it will put things into perspective and you will start to question if you are working for money or if money is working for you...oh; and about that education...it is great that you are getting your education...I got mine also (MBA), but the degree won't do much for you in real estate, although it can help you to have a better understanding of finance.2) You are contributing to a 401k for retirement in a job you don't intend to keep...although you are probably getting a nice contribution from your employer and you are saving tax free, you are also freezing money in a device you can't touch until you reach retirement age, or else you get heavily penalized.

Most businesses disclose that a call is being recorded and many call recording devices insert beeps every 15 seconds. 

Basically picture a device with a 6' cord.
