Maybe you identify a restaurant that you can pay over the phone, so if an issue is bad enough, you can offer a dinner "on the house" while the issue is being handled.  

Cars, clothes and dinners are fun but not the same as a house that will pay for it versus your own sweat and man hours.

While I'm on the way to lunch with Investor, Attorney calls me back, because investor got his JD and works for attorney now in his practice, mentioned he was having lunch with me, and it reminded him to call me and set up a dinner meeting.
