Or go the motor home route. ( wife does not care for the motor home route though) Or just do what we do now.. fly to where we want to fish stay in hotel and hire a guide !!!..

You should reconsider looking for a property zoned for short term stays.

I'm an investor and mortgage broker and have options for loans that go as low as $75,000 and down payments as low as 15%, which makes it easier to stay above $75,000.

I know what my ideal life looks like in ten years, unfortunately, I don’t feel like I can have my ideal life now because I am having to stay in the state that I am in until we can move without risk of my husband losing custody of his child, which will be in about 10 years so believe it or not I do spend a lot of time thinking about what I want the future to be like.

You can search by keyword in Zillow as well -As an agent I have both zillow and MLS alerts as zillow and MLS both have different capabilities.

I also prefer to screen the guests and set my own price/stay restrictions.

We get a condo rental in Oceanside typically, and stay for 2 weeks. 

I would say 225k around average to stay out of high risk zones.
