The city is twice as big as the next biggest city in Germany: Hamburg.

Some unusual circumstances (that at least included the positives of international living) equal: a spouse who's only been finding employment overseas and a contract that ends in 2 years with no idea of what's next, no career for me, kids growing up (one in Germany, one still in high school) at the same time my dad has moved in and needs some caregiving, no retirement to speak of for DH and myself, but dad's generosity has provided us with a now-paid-off SFR via no-interest personal loan payable if at some point dad has to move out and go into assisted living.  

I lived in Germany for a few years for my job, and miss the culture, history, and architecture of the various parts of Europe. 

Self storage  the same building but you have 500 to 800 tenants  and even if 15 move out , no big deal as most likely you will have 10 to 15 move back in net result is small increase income as old tenants  were paying the old price an new tenants  are paying the new price.I do it in Germany and its even better there as there is a huge demand and not enough buildings at this time .

We used to road trip to Holland, France, Germany or Italy. 

I first moved from Germany to Melbourne FL and was renting a room from a guy for $550 a month and it was terrible!

I walked away from an even better deal in Germany like this as it would take a long time (rent laws) and maybe get yourself damaged evicting unhappy "free" tenants - any thoughts?
