We initially rented a oceanfront condo for 6 months which is our “home-based” whenever we are on the island BUT right after couple trips we knew we wanted “our” own condo so we quickly bought a condo in Kihei Maui which is a great vacation rental area.

Also if you see water leaks, or any kind of major safety issues not reported to you by the tenant, you need to give notice for the tenant to vacate at the end of the lease.
