It would be very unusual for a condensation line blockage to cause problems this time of year here in Birmingham because it's been cold here lately...so nobody has their air on...and the unit doesn't produce condensation in heat mode.For a future preventative measure though, I would recommend you have an HVAC company install a pan underneath the unit in the attic (if there's not one there already) and attached to that pan, ask them to install a "float kill switch".

I would say I turned out pretty lucky given that the moratoriums might have prevented me from evicting him until next year.

His timeline doesn't make sense to me, so you might get lucky and find a 25 year old power of attorney that may or may not be enforceable in your situation, but you also might find one that is much more recent and put in place to prevent the transaction you are trying to engage in.

I had the sewer pipes inspected and sure enough, the Orangeburg piping was blistering and had some roots penetrating the line.
