So thats why some of the Bay area folks say Hey just save and buy more bay area in 20 years you will have 500k equity in that one property.. at least thats the thought process.. will it be true who knows.. but when i sold my house in Palo Alto for 500k in 91 I knew for sure it could never go higher than 500k..

Eventually a person working for the state was able to send in a correction form to the IRS to fix that problem...but it took a lot of effort on my part to work through the system to see who and how the monthly board payments could be changed from salary which is taxable to board which is not.The other time some folks that I never met, have no idea who they are, or anything about them, used my SSN as theirs for work they did at several chicken processing plants.

For these reasons, I'm thinking it may hinder my overall goals, but don't want to completely rule out the possibility if folks out there have found success.As far as why I'm drawn to the career: flexible schedule, weird love for numbers, driving for dollars between jobs, general REI adjacency, daily variety of location, outdoor/indoor, relatively active (on my feet), potential for solid income after certification (especially on the commercial side).
