But furthermore, I would figure out a way to de-escalate the situation as much as possible.

Another option is to speak with a real estate CPA about the possibility of parking money in a DST (Delaware Statutory Trust)for a few years before you make your multifamily investment.

Then we spent a couple of days looking at homes in the Bonners Ferry area, about 30 minutes from the Canadian border.

Is the Delaware Statutory Trust an option if he wants to reinvest somewhere else and just not have the headaches of managing?
