I don't have any first hand experience but my mom used to help out at a trailer park at Lake Tawakoni in Texas.  

Well, not sure how else you would expect to achieve the highest value. 

I'm excited at the fact that I will be able to learn first hand from people that have been in the same or even worse position that I'm in.

Don't work backwards ( i have 20k what should i do) work forwards - have a goal, how am I going  to start to achieve that goal with 20k.Good Luck!

If you want to try and achieve the high returns that you see on paper, be prepared to work for it.
