After reading this thread, a few comments come to mind over this common A or B decision.Without knowing how much it is (no need to say) makes my advice (or more accurately, my opinion) more general in nature but here it goes:Lending has very little to no tax shelters whereas buy and hold does.

They may be more emotionally concerned, but that doesn't mean they are better at the job.Why are millionaires and billionaires using financial managers, property managers, nannies, and maids? 

Anyone has any experiences with McAllen,TX market?

I'm interested in learning a bit more about typical vacancy percentages, size of the local population being serviced, reasonable percentage of effective gross income for expenses, etc. as well Peter.Hopefully some experienced member(s) will sound off!

Literally everything one should, or shouldn't be, do, know, act, will all be correctly guided from those 3 words.
