Do you need all this for a couple of rentals?

I have a place in Reston listed in Zillow & furnished finder for couple of weeks.

Maybe doing a septic tank instead of a sewer, but still, there is a need for water and electricity.

It's part of participation trophy society where people get socially rewarded for just being in the game, but that shouldn't apply to real estate.

I recently closed on the purchase of 12 acres with the help of a family loan, and the farm service agency ( 1.5% for 20 years).

From, "someone ate my food" to "someone takes long showers and uses up all the hot water" and even arguements over parking spots.Who wants to handle all that extra nonsense for "free"?

I ask because I've interviewed a number of general contractors over the years for my various real estate projects and am shocked at how the vast majority showed up to the job site to give an estimate in a vehicle that did not display their contractor license number or business name.Aside from this one issue, they'd often have great portfolios, long list of successful permits I could verify they pulled, great references, no complaints on their license, and had been licensed for over a decade.
