So depending on who is at the other end of the money you are lending if they are smart they will try to be out from under you as soon as possible.

A good commercial broker in your area should have a contact list for this sort of thing.If your plan is to put up significant cash in the trade then I think you're smart to seek non-recourse financing.  

Your fear is many of our fears, but if we play the game smart, we will always have an exit strategy to get us out of the mess we got ourselves into. 

You break a couple glasses or put a slight ding in something I don't charge but you pour beer in something electronic we charge.

Be smart with your money and don't buy anything at these meetings.  

Is it smart to think that prices are going to get lower in the future?

@Ben Leybovich  well thank you for the advise but taking suggestions without sound reasoning isn't exactly a smart decision in any situation.

I'm comfortable with the glass-doored wall boxes used in hallways for mounting fire extinguishers in common areas; but I'm not sure how to put these within units without looking horrible.
