Then find "boots on the ground in SJ" who know the city ... in the interim, feel free to bounce any seriously considered deals off me.As a long-distance investor, I would strongly recommend you stay away from Indian Town (North end) .. there are a lot of "cheap" buildings there, but the prospects for the area are muted.

I ask because I talked to a realtor form my area and was told there are none in our area and I’d have to travel north or south to the cities to find them.

@Ankit Patel @Jonathan Herron Hey guys, thanks for your input-So recently I made it to Camden City hall and spoke to someone in the law office and inquired about the tax lien reduction    - It is possible.

I've also used city-data.com to find information about the towns I'm looking at.  

The city requires an escrow for the tenant relocation part, which I handle all the time. :)

There is a newer roof. but most likely that was done through insurance after a big hail storm a couple years ago took out half the roofs in the city.
