Where I live, it's not uncommon to see a handful of basement jack posts either on concrete pads or on the dirt itself to deal with soft spots on the foundation, but the soil here is thick, heavy clay with solid rock close to the subsurface, so there's not a whole lot of movement.

Just yesterday, I replaced a section of 3 inch sewer pipe from the ceiling in a garage, down a wall and replaced 15 feet under the concrete garage floor.

When we began chipping off the old 4x4 tile on the bathroom walls we found a slab behind each wall about an inch thick of concrete to which the tiles are adhered to directly.Is there an easy way to remove the tiles or should be just demo the entire slab, tile and all and just replace with 1/4" concrete board on the remodel?
