I would probably visit at least once to drive the neighborhood and see how you feel before purchasing, but as far as the inspections and even the actual closing (we do most in escrow so you can close out of state properties without physically flying in), people do it all the time.

Similar if you tried to get a judgement for the locks you have installed on the front door.The judge is going to want to see direct expenses related to her actions (physical damages, etc).With that said, I've seen judges do some whacky stuff so anything is possible.

This just follows the general rule of not owning properties in corporations and it has everything to do with the way it is taxed when it is transferred out of the entity.
