Hello:I currently have two duplexes (4 front doors) in Florida, both of which I own outright. 

The majority of US homeowners (purchased or owned before 2023) have very low mortgage rates in the 3%+/- range.

A partner and I own a 6 unit in Barre VT. 

So no, you won't know, which means you have to just operate by your own bottom line.

Unfortunately I've injected every last dollar that I have on this project so borrowing or putting in my own money is not even close to an option.

im new to rental property investment.. we own our home with approx. 65,000 in equity and would like to use some of it to buy our first rental property here in the states ( we have on STR in Dominican Republic).

Again, I'm just a guy so do your own homework but I've been there before, knee deep in raw sewage and when you're going through Hell, keep going.   

I haven't said anything about them riding scooters yet because I'm not sure how it will go telling them what they can't do in their own unit, but it's getting to a point where I may have to say something.

I currently live in Valdosta and own my primary residence and 5 other rentals in the area.

Logically, its best to look in your own backyard before looking outside.
