Growing up, there were teachers who looked down on me because my family was different, and by different, I mean poor, living in a crappy trailer park with a single mother of 2 (think 8 Mile trailer park, just a little more rural).

I looked at a property on the M streets yesterday and there were at least 12-15 homes for sale in a .25 mile radius.

But really the best place to know that is the local MLS for example in Memphis you would want to talk to a realtor to pull you a spreadsheet all all homes within a .5 mile radius, +/- 200 sqft, sale prices, sqft etc. but the data cannot tell you what the homes looked like, the condition of the home repairs/deferred maintenance, the look of home, the floorplan etc.
