It is really hard to make everything work fine when you were eight hundred miles away.

Growing up, there were teachers who looked down on me because my family was different, and by different, I mean poor, living in a crappy trailer park with a single mother of 2 (think 8 Mile trailer park, just a little more rural).

There are 2 homes in .5 mile 6k sq ft, both newer but 1 is on the market for 900k the other 700k.

I recently visited ga. and found a property (via realtor) and contractors but did not feel comfortable with living miles away from property while rehabbing.  

If water = mold, then rainy cities like Seattle would be 150 square miles of deadly mold. 

I looked at a property on the M streets yesterday and there were at least 12-15 homes for sale in a .25 mile radius.

But really the best place to know that is the local MLS for example in Memphis you would want to talk to a realtor to pull you a spreadsheet all all homes within a .5 mile radius, +/- 200 sqft, sale prices, sqft etc. but the data cannot tell you what the homes looked like, the condition of the home repairs/deferred maintenance, the look of home, the floorplan etc. 

I do not know where I'm looking to invest but for now I assume that it will be fairly close to home, within a 30 mile radius.
