When we bought in 2013 we took out the carpet and installed bamboo flooring; we put $35k into a complete overhaul of the kitchen; and we added impact windows in 2015.

It is a little odd they are not already installed. 

This involved having hurricane clips installed on two of our properties, cutting our insurance premiums by  40-50%

@Brett Hearn I usually buy my windows at Home Depot or Lowes and pay my handyman to install them.

Hi Rowena, just curious as to what the cost to install the electric heaters was. 

Laminate is great and we do use it in kitchens and bathrooms and when the HW is non existent but it is more expensive per square foot (tends to cost us about $1.70/sf when we install ourselves but can be much more) than HW refinishing.

New insulation and drywall installed in the garage, all walls and ceilings painted.

@Victor S.I’ve painted before & installed countertops so at least I won’t spend much doing that.

I suggested installing lally columns and smaller floor joyces.
