We have a great network setup in that town (her dad is a GC, brother in law is a PM, and a huge network of potential tenants). 

I currently just bought 1 condo in Phoenix (my brother is a realtor there).

I managed to get on with a GC through some family connections, but they prefer people with a CM or engineering background.My brother has a degree in political science but works for a large GC in the Seattle area.
