@Barrett Boone In my area no permit is needed so I pay for the tank, my handyman arranges the purchase of the correct one then I call to pay for it, it varies depending on the property and the install with the plumber is usually around $400 unless there’s an unforeseen circumstance.

Under what agreement/arrangement did you two agree to share 50/50?  

I couldn’t imagine having to deal with calls about them, struggling tk find repair people, finding new these days or arranging to have them delivered.

They are friends and this arrangement has worked out great: I’m not depending on one tenant for the entire rent amount and they have affordable housing.

Property is arranged as a detached 1 bed/bath unit (occupied by inherited tenant) and a duplex: 2 bed/bath owner's unit & a vacant mirror unit.What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Most people in the solar industry recommend going with a new roof and traditional solar panel arrangement.

The only challenge with this property was organizing a cash for keys arrangement with the current tenant to give them extra incentive to move out in a timely manner.
